- What are the benefits of purchasing an eLearning course?
There are several benefits of purchasing an eLearning course. Here is a list of a few of these benefits:
- Less expensive – eLearning courses are generally less expensive than attending a live class on the same topic
- Just-In-Time Training – eLearning courses are available when you need them, not just when they happen to be scheduled by your company’s training department
- Take over and over – unlike a live training class where you only get one shot at learning the material, with eLearning, you can watch a module as many times as you like to solidify the concepts in your mind
- Available 24/7 – eLearning courses are available anytime 24/7, so you can take this training on your schedule, which as we all know is very rarely 9am – 5pm
- Can take from anywhere – As long as you have an internet connection, you can take MindShare’s eLearning courses from wherever you like… it doesn’t have to be at the office in a training room with 20 other engineers
- I have questions about the eLearning course that I just took. How can I get those questions answered?
When taking a training course (whether eLearning-based or not), there are going to be questions you have about the material. MindShare provides a link to where you can email the instructor of the eLearning course any questions / comments you have about the material. You can find this link in your MindShare account, under the “My eLearning” tab listed immediately below the title of the eLearning course. Please limit the number of questions to a limited number in line with the cost effective price of the eLearning course. Should you need a large number of questions and issues resolved, we would be happy to setup a consulting arrangement with you.
However, if your question is not related to the training material, but is more along the lines of an eLearning support question, you should contact MindShare eLearning support staff at the link below.
- Do I get a copy of the slides used in the eLearning course? If so, where can I find them?
Yes. You can find a PDF copy of the slides used in the eLearning course under the “My eBooks/Presentations” tab of your MindShare account. This PDF is yours to keep even after the subscription time to the eLearning course expires.

- What if I need more than 90 days to finish the eLearning modules?
You will receive an automated email 2 weeks before your access to the eLearning modules expires. You will then have the ability to extend your access to the eLearning modules for an additional 30 days. This offer to extend access to the modules is available for purchase from two weeks before the course expires to two weeks after it expires.
- Does my access to the PDF of the eLearning slides expire too?
No. You get to keep the PDF of the eLearning slides even after the subscription time to the eLearning course expires.
- I have attended one of MindShare’s live classes recently and would like to get access to the corresponding eLearning course to use for review. Is this possible?
Absolutely. MindShare is constantly holding live training classes at our customer’s sites as well as in public venues. If you have recently attended one of these classes, then contact us at the link below and once you provide proof of your attendance to a MindShare course, we can offer you the corresponding eLearning course at a discounted rate.
Also, if you attended the MindShare training class on-site at your company, you can also contact your company’s training department and let them know that you would like to have MindShare’s eLearning courses offered internally and bundled with the live training. That way, the next time you take a MindShare class, the eLearning course may come bundled with the live class.
- What do I get when purchasing an eLearning course?
Once you purchase an eLearning course from MindShare, you get the following:
- Access to all the modules for that course for the duration of the subscription time (most courses have a subscription length of 90 days which means you can watch it as many times as you want for 90 days).
- You may email the instructor (find this link to instructor email address in your MindShare account, under the “My eLearning” tab listed immediately below the title of the eLearning course) with your questions directly related to the course. Please limit the number of questions to a limited number in line with the cost effective price of the eLearning course. Should you need a large number of questions and issues resolved, we would be happy to setup a consulting arrangement with you.
- Download a PDF of the slides presented in the eLearning modules. You can use this PDF to take notes from the eLearning course. This PDF is forever yours and does not expire after the subscription time.
- The PDF can be found under the “My eBooks/Presentations” tab in your MindShare account.

- Can I download the modules to my machine to view offline?
No. You must be connected to the internet and logged into your MindShare account to view the modules. Once you purchase an eLearning course, you can watch it as many times as you want for the subscription length of that course. Most of our eLearning courses have a subscription length of 90 days, but there may be some variation.
You can find out when your access to the eLearning modules is over by looking at the "My eLearning" tab of your MindShare account. Each course that you have purchased indicates when your access to that course expires right beside the course name.
- I would like to let someone else use my MindShare account to view the modules that I purchased. Is that allowed?
No. When you purchase an eLearning course, that is an individual sale and the eLearning course is licensed to be viewed by the individual making the purchase only. The following is listed under the About tab in each MindShare eLearning module:
This eLearning Module is for the exclusive and personal use of the individual that purchased this module from MindShare.
MindShare licenses this module for personal use only and any other use is prohibited (including: recording, distributing, sharing, projecting, or other forms of transmission). |
- How can I provide feedback about these eLearning courses?
Yes, please do. At MindShare, we want to ensure that we are provide the most effective training services that we can.
